Share Details
Vegetarian shares put the summer vegetables on center stage. Every week we collect your vegetables from the Community Farm of Ann Arbor. These are the freshest, most beautiful vegetables you will ever eat: grown with love and care at the Community Farm and transformed by the cooks into dozens of varied and flavorful vegetarian delights. Our menus include luscious soups, crispy-fresh salad mixes, zesty slaws, and dishes inspired by cuisine from around the world. Items range from main dishes like pizza and lasagna to condiments such as our crispy zucchini pickles and fermented kim chee. These healthy dishes are high on flavor and low on fat and salt. But don’t worry—healthy eating has never been this delicious.
Note that Vegetarian shares are cooked on a different day from the Omnivore shares and we plan a separate Vegetarian menu. There’s no risk of meat making it’s way into a Vegetarian share.
Vegan options are available on request.
Quantities
Quantities will vary somewhat through the season, as seasonal vegetables become more abundant, our portions will become larger! However, each week we’ll aim for:
Two main dishes such as Beet and Carrot Burgers and Pasta with Pesto – each with 4-6 servings (2-3 servings for half shares)
Soup or Light Entrée – 2 quarts (1 quart half share)
Vegetable side dish – 4-6 side servings (2-3 side servings for half shares)
Green salad mix – 1/2 lb (1/4 lb for half shares)

Omnivore

Share Details
Omnivore shares feature delicious grass-fed, organic meat from various local meat farms along with a bounty of fresh vegetables from a variety of local farms. See our Real Time Farms Profile (link) for a map of our current providers. Like the vegetarian shares, meat shares will get many creative vegetable sides and lush salads to combine with the flavorful beef, pork, lamb, and chicken dishes. You can look forward to the flavors of the seasons, ranging from springtime Quiche Lorraine to Chicken Cacciatore to Acorn squash with Apple-Sausage Stuffing. Soups are enriched with our homemade stock so everything is bursting with flavor that only the freshest food can bring.
